Hi everyone. This is Waterlily, a short comic about a trans girl who grew up loving the water but ended up leaving it behind due to her dysphoria before transition. Now that she feels she’s ready, she and her girlfriend take a trip out to the beach so she can swim again. And what could be better than that?
This has been a very personal and introspective project for me. There’s water, processing, and girls kissing! And it’s starting… now!
Waterlily will be running from May 22nd to May 27th, updating in multi-page bursts for its duration, on this webpage, as well as my tumblr page.
I hope you enjoy it!

Waterlily will be beginning soon!
Waterlily is a short comic about a trans girl who grew up swimming and loving the water, but eventually had to leave it behind due to her body dysphoria and eventual transition. Deciding she’s ready to swim again, she and her girlfriend take a trip out to the beach, but, well… it’s not that simple.
I wrote this comic as introspection on my own feelings of body-consciousness as a trans woman and how trans people can often be forced to abandon things they love because of the social realities and difficulties of being trans in cis society, and to hopefully lend support to anyone who’s struggling with similar issues.
